Classroom Intensive in Futures Trend

Eight evening sessions in Bangkok where you mark trend structure on printed futures charts, then defend those marks in front of the room.

The intensive is a room, a clock, and a stack of paper. You sit with other people who also watch futures and you mark trend the way a desk used to mark it: swing by swing, on the daily, then on the weekly, before anyone reaches for an overlay.

Most students arrive able to name a moving average and unable to say whether last month’s decline was a correction inside an advance or the start of something else. That confusion is ordinary. We treat it as a marking problem, not a personality problem.

Niran runs the board. He will not let a trendline float through a cluster of closes just because the line looks tidy. Arisa joins when the pack turns to rubber or another agricultural contract, because those charts spend more time in ranges than SET50 students expect, and the room needs someone who has sat with that boredom.

You leave with marked pages, a habit of writing a one-sentence trend note, and a short review appointment. You do not leave with a system for sale or a promise about the next contract month.

Lesson facts

Who it is for
People who already place or hedge futures — SET50, gold, rubber, or USD on TFEX, or comparable contracts elsewhere — and who still argue with the chart instead of reading it. You do not need a brokerage job. You do need a willingness to draw on paper and to have those drawings challenged.
What you leave with
By the last evening you should be able to mark swing structure on a daily and weekly futures chart, say whether the contract is in an advance, a decline, or a range, and write a short note on where that reading would be wrong.
Duration
Four weeks, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 18:30–21:00
Where
Classroom sessions in Bangkok; printed chart packs issued at the first meeting
Who teaches
Led by Niran Kaewmanee, with Arisa Boonmee sitting in on agricultural contract evenings.

How it runs

  1. Seat request

Write to us with the contracts you actually watch and the evenings you can attend. We confirm a seat in writing, then send a materials list.

  2. First pack

On night one you receive the first chart pack. We spend that evening only on swing highs, swing lows, and the difference between a pause and a break.

  3. Marked homework

Between sessions you mark two charts at home. You bring those pages in. Unmarked pages are not discussed.

  4. Defence

From week two, two students each evening put a chart on the board and explain the trend they marked. The room may disagree. That disagreement is the lesson.

  5. Closing review

After week four you sit with an instructor for thirty minutes on one contract of your choosing. Bring the pages you marked during the month.

Preparation

Bring a pencil, a straight edge, and two contracts you already follow. Print nothing; the pack is issued in the room. If you have never seen a futures chart, say so when you write — we will send a two-page primer on contract months and the roll so the first evening is not spent on vocabulary.

Limits

Evenings start at 18:30. Arrival after 18:45 means you sit without interrupting the markup already on the board. Phones stay in bags while charts are on the table. We do not discuss live working orders. Seats are not transferable after the first evening because the pack is named.
